Biblical Scriptures Your Children Can Easily Remember in Charlotte Sustar’s “The Love Bunny’s”
Author and illustrator, Charlotte Sustar, writes another children’s book filled with moral lessons and a lot of biblical scriptures for kids to learn. So, here are some proverbs found in “The Love Bunny’s”, and how they are relevant to the short stories!
Psalm 56: 3 & 4 , Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. (God) (4) In God I will
praise His word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear. In the very first chapter of the book, Psalm 56: & 4 was cited by Runner, a troublemaking bunny. Having been caught in a whirlpool, he couldn’t help but panic. However, remembering the scriptures, he learned not to be afraid and just go with the flow. It all worked out in the end.
2 Timothy 1: 7? It says, For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind. In Chapter 3, Timothy 1:7 was mentioned when the two siblings, Runner and Mel, attempted to calm down their sister, Emosha, telling her to remember what their Mom and Dad had taught them.
Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Chapter 5 “Lost and Found” is where this proverb was cited by Mr. Hoot Owl whom the bunnies encountered. He points out they need not to worry because God always provides.
These are but a few of the few scriptures that one can find in the book. Indeed, not only does it provide a happy reading, but it also instills God in our children’s hearts. Get your copy now!
